About Us
Kenis and Jean Loven - owners
Kenis@KenisLoven.com
What started 24 years ago as a love of creating things in wood has blossomed into a business employing 13 people and working with great customers all over the Puget Sound region.
Initially, like many small businesses, it started as a one person shop with Kenis doing everything from designing, building, finishing, and installing. Over the years many great craftsmen have joined the crew as the business expanded and grew. In 1990 we moved to the Woodinville area. Converting a former poultry research farm into a custom cabinet shop was a slow process, but over the years the main building was converted into working space and a new building was put up to house the finish room and door/millwork shop.
Today, while Jean continues to teach full day kindergarten at Bellevue Christian School, Kenis works at meeting with clients to design special projects and coordinate the crew of specialists in the shop.
When time allows they love spending time with friends as well as traveling and exploring new areas of the United States.

As she says, "it is fun to learn new things and keep everything in order for the clients and the employees."

A brief biography of Kenis Loven Construction
Kenis Loven Construction was started in 1984 with a desire to work on quality remodeling projects from the start to finish. For the first 13 years we worked mainly as general contractors while at the same time having our own cabinet shop in which we produced the custom cabinets for our own projects.
As our cabinet shop grew and became more complex we decided to change our focus about 13 years ago to concentrate more on the cabinet side rather than the general contracting side. While we still act as a contractor on some kitchen remodel projects, our emphasis is on producing quality custom cabinets for the remodel and new construction market.
With a 13 employee shop we strive to be able to tackle any size project with the hands on detail that a custom project requires. Whether it is a completely new design, or one that has to exactly match an existing home, we will work with you to get the final product just the way you want it. We can outfit a home office or entertainment center to give you the best functionality and aesthetic appearance possible. If you are looking at a new kitchen we will work with you to make a room that flows well and gives you that "wow" factor when guests arrive.
All of our cabinets are built customized to your site. We do not use any prebuilt boxes that must be fitted to your space requirements. Our cabinet boxes are all plywood, with no particle board or MDF as structural units, and all of the faces and edging are solid wood. Our drawers are all solid wood with dovetailed joints, and they all have a minimum of 100#, full extension glides for a life time of use.
We encourage customers to do a walk through of the shop. If you are considering a project in the near future and would like to see how our products are built, please call us to arrange a time to meet with someone for a hands-on tour.
